Why Craftsman Tractors Rule.

Sunday, July 25th, 2010

…Because mine was driven through fire, then driven up a vert wall by the Headbandit & Banned crews, then flipped over to flat bottom, then restarted and driven over Chris Moeller. Then it was wheelied over a mini ramp by Moeller and Micky Marshall, until it bucked them off and took off ghostriding on it’s own, up and over a landing. It took all that abuse and it’s still in one piece, still running and mowing. Craftsman tractors rules, you can get one at Sears (make sure you get the cast iron front axle).

All photos from our July 4th Jam, shot by Davis James. First 2 riding pics are Brian Hunt and the last one is Mr. Homan.

Here’s a few totally random pics from our July 4th Jammy Jam thanks to Frank Ashbridge. Thanks again to S&M, United, and Fit for helping out, the Banned crew for the vid premiere, Secret Cutter for playing, and everyone else who helped and showed up. It’s was an epic day. We’re busy filming with Navaz for the next couple of weeks. I’ll try to get some pics up here soon from the trip. Until then keep up to speed on our Twitter.

PS: a few more pics on pawoods.com.

100th Orchid Shoe Release Party!

Thursday, March 25th, 2010

Saturday April 3rd starts @ 8:00pm upstairs at KFN. 1250 N Front St. Philly PA

Need and excuse to party? Come see all 100 Orchid shoes on display and celebrate the release of our 100th shoe style the night of Saturday, April 3rd. The party starts at 8:00pm in the upstairs gallery above Kung Fu Necktie in Philadelphia. The party moves downstairs to the bar at 10:00pm (21+). No cover charge for the party and we’ll have some free adult beverages to drink, so don’t be too fashionably late. Music and classic bmx videos all night!

About our 100th shoe:
When we realized we were approaching our 100th shoe colorway, we decided this was our free pass to do something wild. Since 2010 is the “year of the tiger” and Van Homan has the eye of the tiger (plus that whole Tiger Woods fiasco a couple months ago), we decided that a tiger striped V2 MId was the only way to go. These are super limited and come in a tiger striped box. Don’t sleep if you want a pair.

“You Got That” Philly Premiere.

Saturday, January 9th, 2010

A bmx video premiere at my favorite bar in Philly? Sounds like a good time to me. Infamy is having their premiere upstairs at KFN next Saturday night, January 16th. Doors open at 8pm, video starts at 9, then around 10 the party moves downstairs to the bar where it becomes 21+. Come out and support this event. It’s free and I hear the video is bangin! Can’t wait to see our boy Dan Conway’s part. He knows how to make bike riding look fun.

PS: There’s a separate entrance for the upstairs party. It’s a door to the left of the main entrance. All ages.

Ramp Up The Jawn!

Tuesday, November 17th, 2009

Some big ramp news for Eastern PA:

1. We now have some new ramps at the Orchid HQ thanks to our friends Carmine and Keith, who had to get rid of them. Here’s a photo of Ryan Yazzie airing the current makeshift set up. These ramps will go out back with the trails (aka Beringer style) in the Spring. Dave King volunteered some Bobcat time so it’s on for 2010. If all goes to plan we’re going to try and cement a couple of things too. Until then come by and shred the driveway.

2. The best bowl on the East Coast, the infamous Little Devil bowl will be fully operational by next month!!! The thing is 99% finished now, and should be done really soon. We’re planning a private session for early December. Hit me up if you were a regular at the old warehouse and I’ll try to get you in. The new location is Penn Skate in Allentown, PA. When it’s officially up and running I’ll post it here.

Here’s some photos of the recent progress:

And what the hell, here’s an old vid to get you hyped to ride this rollercoaster:
