Free Hat.

Monday, August 2nd, 2010

Anyone remember that Southpark episode where they get people to come to their pep rally by offering everyone a free hat? That was a good one. This post has nothing to do with Southpark. This one is all about these limited edition Cobra hats we’re selling on the webstore. They won’t last long so scoop one up.

While you at it enter promo code DIHCRO for a special 10% back-to-school discount on all items. That won’t last long either, so don’t wait…

I got excited and tweeted an iPhone shot of this shoe yesterday, so I thought I’d post a photo on the blog too. It’s one of Van Homan’s new V2 Mid Lites that’s in the works now. Note the new sole…

Foot Hats In Stock!

Monday, April 19th, 2010

Congrats to Josh Bitler (pictured above) for winning our caption contest, your shoes are on the Fedex truck. There were a bunch of good entries and it was tough to decide a winner. But in the end, Josh’s comment (below) was arguably the most clever. Thanks to everyone for playing. Sock winners (runner-ups) will be contacted directly.

100th Orchid Shoe Release Party!

Thursday, March 25th, 2010

Saturday April 3rd starts @ 8:00pm upstairs at KFN. 1250 N Front St. Philly PA

Need and excuse to party? Come see all 100 Orchid shoes on display and celebrate the release of our 100th shoe style the night of Saturday, April 3rd. The party starts at 8:00pm in the upstairs gallery above Kung Fu Necktie in Philadelphia. The party moves downstairs to the bar at 10:00pm (21+). No cover charge for the party and we’ll have some free adult beverages to drink, so don’t be too fashionably late. Music and classic bmx videos all night!

About our 100th shoe:
When we realized we were approaching our 100th shoe colorway, we decided this was our free pass to do something wild. Since 2010 is the “year of the tiger” and Van Homan has the eye of the tiger (plus that whole Tiger Woods fiasco a couple months ago), we decided that a tiger striped V2 MId was the only way to go. These are super limited and come in a tiger striped box. Don’t sleep if you want a pair.

What’s The Deal With S&M?

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010

People have been asking about our distribution arrangement with S&M Bikes, so here’s the dealy. S&M is basically acting as a secondary distributor for Orchid Footwear in the USA. They are stocking our shoes, so they’ll be able to provide fill-in orders for all of their dealers and better service for shops on the west coast. This should also help Orchid become more widely available in the USA.

If your shop preordered shoes through Orchid you’ll still be getting them from us next week. We only ask that you don’t cancel your Orchid preorder and get them from S&M, that will cause a glitch in the Matrix. Besides that, you can order fill in shoes from Orchid or from S&M. Choices!

And for the riders this means that your local S&M/Fit dealer is now an authorized Orchid dealer. They’ll be able to place special orders for you, no minimums, no hassles. Spring 2010 is here so retire those old kicks from last year and get your foot game tightened up.
