Brian Hunt Is Super

b hunt super man

Here’s a photo of Brian Hunt from the last Backyard Jam in the UK. I thought he was jumping the box at first, but at second glance he’s jumping the launch ramp to god knows where. The New Hampshire kid has been killing it. If you don’t believe me, check out these clips on Woozy.

Maple Shade

Wednesday, November 29th, 2006

There is a new park in Maple Shade N.J. and boy is it a treat. I finally made it over there today and I will be back A.S.A.P. Its got a small shallow area which is great for messing around. In the back is the real gem, a tight deep bowl filled with lots of hips and corners. Geoff Slattery was there completely killing the place with his fast, smooth lines. I clicked a couple photos of todays adventures. So enjoy and do your best to make it to this park if you’re in the area.

martinez footjam ad

Yeah, yeah, foot jammin’ and Orchid footwear. Here’s the latest ad we put together using this Corey Martinez banger from the summer. I shot this one at The Plague in NJ and you can see the video clip on orchidfootwear.com. The featured shoe is Corey’s pro model, the Disciple, in black leather/gum.

lookback in full effect

David Bilbrough, the recent Orchid Photo Contest winner, just sent over an e-mail to say thanks for the 1st place prize package we sent out to him. As if taking the time to say thanks wasn’t cool enough he included another pic he shot of “Murph”; the same guy that was in his winning submission.

So to say thanks for saying thanks I figured I’d post up a website link that he sent over; the site has some BMX related goodies from the UK as well as some more photos that he’s shot.

Big Hop, Big Rims, What?!

LD Rob Wise

Here’s a sneak peek at the new Little Devil ad featuring Rob Wise. The first questions that come to mind are “Did he really b-hop that fountain?” and “Is that really Rob’s car?” The answer is hell yeah on both counts. Rob don’t play. My question is, “If the rims on his bike are 20-inch, how big are the rims on that Cadillac? The’yre huge!

What’s Happening Now

man of the month

Does anyone remember the tv show from the 1970’s called What’s Happening? It had that delightful fat kid, Rerun, who wore a beret and did some funky dance moves. We’ll they cancelled the show then brought it back as What’s Happening Now, but the magic wasn’t the same. I forget my point, but whatever. We’ve had another busy week at the warehouse, which means no time for posts. So I grouped them all into one mega-post to keep you all in the know:

-First off this photo is Mandrew, our shipping slave boy, posing with his Employee of the Month plaque. Mandrew has been packing mad orders this month getting our dealers stocked up for holidays. He’s also the class clown of the company and keeps us laughing with his impressions (Borat was big this week). Since we had this killer frame and a photo of Mandrew, he gets to be employee of the month. Hooray!

-More new Little Devil products came in this week. Eagle Scout belts are brand spankin’ and damn! the custom Hooligan Jackets look good. Check ‘em.

-We’re talking about doing another Trans Am Open House next month at our headquarters just outside of Philadelphia. Check back soon for details.

- We’re almost finished editing a Kevin Porter video part for orchidfootwear.com
Kevin and his friend Tom Arkus have been filming it for a while. We should have that up online around the end of the month.

- It’s been raining and cool, so the warehouse bowl has been getting sessioned a lot. There were about 20 people riding on Tuesday night including Brian Foster, Van Homan with his new light ass bike, Geoff Slattery with his new-improved elbow, Nutter from Catty, Dave King, Art-intern Jesse Jay with his dog Eli, Aaron, Ganwear, and a ton of people. It was radical. Too bad I didn’t take photos.

-Speaking of Geoff Slattery, I’m told he’s been blasting airs higher than the 8′ fence at the new cement park in Maple Shade, NJ.

- 2 new ads came off the line again this week. Corey Martinez/Orchid Footwear and Rob Wise/Little Devil. They’re going in Dig and Ride UK, so be on the lookout.

- We finished taking dealer orders for Spring 2007 Orchid shoes, so they’re going into production this month. The red Wiz pro model will be turning some heads.

FDR Friday

Friday, November 10th, 2006

I went to FDR today again since the weather got nice again. Snapped a few pics. Check em.

cesar table transfer
Little Devil flow rider, Cesar Monzon, has the place dialed. This is a transfer from the 3 foot tranny on the left into the big wall on the right. Cesar pretty much does a 180 nosedive in the air to pull it smooth.

fdr big bowl in progress
Here’s the newest addition to the park, taken last week before it was finished.

fdr big bowl finished
The new section completed.

derek big bowl
Here’s a photo of me, D. Adams, trying to give’r on the new 12 foot pool. It’s so big that it’s hard to get enough speed to air out. Where’s Jamie Bestwick when you need him? Cesar Monzon making it happen behind the lens.

Wiz 2×4 Shirts

wiz 2x4 shirt

We’re helping Van Homan sell some Brian Wizmerski signature 2×4 shirts. If you’re not close enough to Van’s shop in New Jersey, you can pick up one of these on the Trans Am Online Store and it will be shipped to your doorstep (sorry U.S orders only). There were only 100 made, it has shiny gold ink, and the graphic is ripped from a thrift store shirt that Van used to wear, even though it was way too tight.
