Van Homan, bronze medal in X-Games street.
Our dudes Van Homan and Corey Martinez were throwing down in X-Games Street Qualifying. Van got 3rd and Corey tied for 4th. Here’s some video highlights from Ride.

Did you watch Van Homan slay the X-games street course in qualifying today? So awesome. They’re playing it over at espn360.com. He’s riding in Superpark tonight too, puttin in work!
Here’s a peek at Mr. Homan’s new shoe the V2 Mid (with removable strap). Available in September. Click here to enlarge.
I just saw this on fatbmx.com. Too awesome not to share. Old bmx is cool. And the announcer at the end is priceless.
Our homeboys Dan Conway and Eric Capone went to Boston recently and snapped some rad photos (click em to enlarge). I guess this is the sequel to this post. Thanks dudes!
Kevin Porter sent over these photos of Corey Martinez from his recent trip to Chicago (click image to enlarge). A little grind to hop over action for ya, nice. Corey and Van are currently out at the X-Games getting their practice on. Corey has also been Twittering like a madman lately, he probably posts more than any other pro.
Sorry for the slow news week. I just got back from a vacation in the Adirondack mountains, Lake Placid, NY to be exact. They hosted 2 Winter Olympics there in 1932 and in 1980. I’m always amazed at the gigantic ski jumps they have (the original mega-ramps) and I was thinking how the Olympics have been “extreme” for a long long time. Imagine riding your bike down one of those and hucking yourself. It would be insane. It looks totally possible in theory, but you’d probably get speed wobbles and blow up going that fast. Who knows. Somebody should go there and rebel run it during the summer time, that would be hardcore. While you’re there bomb the bobsled run too. It’s just like Beringer’s waterslide, except at 90 mph.
Brian Hunt has a few sweet clips in here, doing his thang.
