Brian Hunt kills it on a bike plus he’s one of the nicest guys in bmx. His recent LDTV part shows just how smooth and stylish he is. He can ride almost any spot and find something to do. His natural flow makes riding look easy. We took this chance to find out more about Mr. B. Hunt.
Name: Brian Christopher Hunt
Age: 22
Where are you from?
I’m from Derry NH home of Robert Frost (the poet) and Clint Reynolds. haha

How long have you been riding?
I think we’re at the 9 year mark roughly.
What’s your earliest bmx memory?
Everyone says this but i would have to say putting plywood on a recycling bin and jumping to flat. Either that or trying to ride trails.
What riders influenced you when you were coming up?
I grew up riding trails so it was all trail riders til i started riding park and street. There are too many to list. I would have to say Joe Rich, Taj, Ruben, Dave Mirra, Chris Doyle, Mike Aitken, Van Homan, and Corey Martinez. The list could go on forever, you can’t forget Miron and Hoffman as well.

What riders influence you now?
Well first of all, my friends. I get influenced by all types of people and riding. I’m super psyched on the young guns like Garrett Reynolds and Dennis Enerson and the older dudes like Jamie Bestwick and Brian Foster. It’s amazing really. A lot of the same riders still influence me as well along with Corey Bohan, Diogo Canina, and Chase Hawk. I love watching dudes go high with tons of style.
Who do you ride with the most?
When I’m at home it’s Clint Reynolds and all my NH buddies. When I’m on the road it’s anyone that wants to have fun and certainly not get too serious. That usually includes Ryan Herbach, Catfish, and friends from PA.
You’ve been hitting up a lot of Dew Tours lately. Do you consider yourself a contest rider?
I ride in a lot of contests but only to travel, ride new spots, and see new places. I’m certainly not just a contest rider. I just love hanging out in different cities with all my friends and meet tons of new people. I like to film and shoot photos more but I like having a piece of everything. I don’t want to put all my eggs in just one basket.

What are your favorite spots to ride?
Easily trails in PA, it’s paradise out there. I’m just bummed I don’t make it out there as much as I’d like. I also love Vancouver and the Northwest. NH and Boston is always a favorite as well.
What’s the best feeling on a bike?
That’s tough because there are so many good ones to choose from. That’s why we do it but I’d have to say cruising through an amazing set of trails. It’s a flawless feeling at times. You also have to enjoy just flowing after being hurt or riding away from something that scares you. I know Corey
mentioned those but it’s so true. I might as well add learning a new trick. How can you not love it?
What kind of music are you into? Tell us a couple of your favorite tunes in your iPod.
I’m into a lot these days. My Ipod playlist ranges from Pat Benetar and Guns N Roses to Kanye West, Biggie Smalls, and The Killers. I’m all over the place, I can never decide with music.

What else do you like to do for fun?
Anything that has to do with water. In NH we swim in the beautiful rivers and lakes then BBQ, drive golf balls, BBQ, and party. I love to wakeboard when I get the chance and snowboard in the winter. I also enjoy hanging out and exploring Boston with my lady Chrystal.
Who are your current sponsors?
I ride for DK bicycles/System Cycle, Maxxis, Little Devil, Orchid Flow, and Eastern Boarder
Anything you’d like to add?
Have fun and enjoy life. Thanks to all my friends all over and especially in NH. Thanks to Sean, Derek and Mike at Trans Am. Thanks to Catfish at DK, all the dudes at EB and thanks to the old lady for putting up with me.
